Job Summary: 

 

NOC Aerial Guides work on three different Aerial adventure activities: the Zip Line Adventure Park, Mountaintop Zip Line Tour, and Alpine Tower; our guides are cross-trained to work on all three activities. Aerial Guide applicants must be at least 18 years of age prior to their work start date, and have current CPR and First Aid certifications. 

 

**Currently, we are hiring Aerial Guides for our shoulder season. Applicants should be available to work starting in August with work potentially extending into October.

Job Summary:

Cooks for Big Wesser BBQ will be working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position creates a great opportunity for one of NOC main values – work hard, play hard. Shifts will consist of a continuous three days on and three days off schedule.  In some cases, cooks may be able to work at multiple restaurants, or cross-train to work in other NOC departments as well. All cook applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

As a Support Crew member you would be an integral piece to the daily operations and functions of Big Wesser BBQ. You will support the Big Wesser team in many ways and help the staff as needed. This position is seasonal with a May 20th start date and an end date in September.

The Controller is accountable for the accounting operations of the Company, to include, the production of regularly scheduled and ad hoc financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP.

DESCRIPTION:

 

The Facilities and Grounds Manager is directly responsible for making sure that facilities and the grounds are maintained and meet the needs of the user at all campus operartions and staff housing properties. This position oversees any and all general maintenance to ensure the working environment/facilities are operating properly and are maintained and safe. Being a service department, a positive attitude to guests, contract service providers and staff is important to remaining good rapport and service.

Job Summary: 

 

NOC Raft Guides work on one of seven different rivers: the Nantahala, French Broad, Pigeon, Ocoee, Nolichucky, Chattooga and Cheoah; many guides are able to cross-train to work on multiple rivers. Raft Guide applicants must be at least 18 years of age prior to their start date, and have current CPR and First Aid certifications. Applicants without prior commercial rafting experience are strongly encouraged to attend NOC Raft Guide School during the spring; preferential consideration for employment is given to Guide School graduates. Summary:

Servers for the Nantahala Outdoor Center work primarily in River’s End Restaurant. Depending on availability, qualification and interest, Servers may also have the opportunity to work additionally in other aspects of the Food and Beverage operation, or in other departments. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. All individuals hired as wait staff will be responsible for completing side work, as well as any required front of house duties as directed by the manager on duty.
