    Job Summary

    Join our Food & Beverage team in the beautiful Nantahala Gorge! NOC is hiring kitchen staff in all three of our restaurants – River’s End, Big Wesser, and Relia’s. We are looking to hire for the remainder of the summer season and into the fall. All cook applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Ask about our end of season bonus!!

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen
    • Maintain food quality and consistency
    • Function as a team player, take direction and work efficiently toward set goals
    • Support teammates and assist other members of the Food and Beverage team as needed
    • Perform kitchen duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED

    • Strong understanding of safe food handling, health code standards, and restaurant cleanliness
    • Ability to function as a team player, take direction, and work independently
    • Thorough understanding of the flow of restaurant operations
    • Dress appropriately for back of house and NOC standards
    • Uphold and follow standards, policies, and procedures
    • Must be able to take direction and take initiative

     

    PREFERRED

    • Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required
    • ServSafe certification preferred but not required

     

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Applicants must be comfortable working on their feet for long periods of time
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
