Job Summary

Join our Food & Beverage team in the beautiful Nantahala Gorge! NOC is hiring kitchen staff in all three of our restaurants – River’s End, Big Wesser, and Relia’s. All cook applicants must be at least 18 years of age. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen
  • Maintain food quality and consistency
  • Function as a team player, take direction and work efficiently toward set goals
  • Support teammates and assist other members of the Food and Beverage team as needed
  • Perform kitchen duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Strong understanding of safe food handling, health code standards, and restaurant cleanliness
  • Ability to function as a team player, take direction, and work independently
  • Thorough understanding of the flow of restaurant operations
  • Dress appropriately for back of house and NOC standards
  • Uphold and follow standards, policies, and procedures
  • Must be able to take direction and take initiative

 

PREFERRED

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • ServSafe certification preferred but not required

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Applicants must be comfortable working on their feet for long periods of time
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
