    NOC is looking for an individual that is passionate about selling outdoor adventure and experiences to our groups and guests! In this role you will work closely with the VP of Sales, Sales Manager, Marketing and department heads to fulfill all the aspects and responsibilities of this role.


    This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with NOC and reports to the Sales Manager. 



    Primary Functions

    • Generate sales for all NOC properties, assets, attractions and activities equaling or exceeding assigned sales budgets
    • Book and manage NOC’s Group & Custom account reservation processes and systems
    • Prospect and close outside sales leads and calls
    • Gain a thorough knowledge of NOC customer channels, relationships, and product line up
    • Track sales efforts, excel in customer follow up and renew existing business

    Core Competencies

    • Maintain existing group business while also growing/developing new custom group business
    • Cold call potential groups to generate interest in the various NOC offerings
    • Identify customer needs, ask questions and offer solutions to potential customers and prospects
    • Make recommendations and present them to group leaders that will result in the highest possible customer satisfaction
    • Select the best combination of activities, meals and lodging options for each group
    • Book large groups to assure best utilization of NOC’s lodging and recreational resources 
    • Monitor account progress and communicate to group leaders about all aspects of their reservation prior to their arrival date
    • Support group leaders with materials and detailed information about NOC to share with their attendees
    • Assure prompt response to all sales inquiries
    • Collaborate with all NOC departments to ensure that all groups are attended to according to plan
    • Embrace all technology platforms necessary to track sales processes, and book group reservations (Resmark, Outlook, Google Docs, and others)
    • Communicate meeting schedules and travel needs to all necessary parties
    • Construct customized presentations and programs for each prospect and client
    • Create new business initiatives and growth plans for existing group business
    • Build key relationships within a designated market segment
    • Monitor trends and source new sales channels
    • Attend multi-day trade shows (requiring overnight travel)
    • Work with Sales Manager to build annual plans around customer service and guest surveys
    • Monitor ROI on show attendance, partnerships and outside sales efforts
    • Monitor profitability and margins of large group accounts
    • Create call reports, metrics and sales reporting as directed by management



    Preferred qualifications:

    • B.S./B.A. in Hospitality, Business or Marketing 
    • Minimum 2-5 years sales experience with tangible success record

    Applicants must have:

    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Reliable and conscientious
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects while also accomplishing day to day task
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Clean driving record and valid driver's license

    Applicants must be:

    • Proficienct in Windows, MS Office, CRM programs
    • Familiar with outdoor recreation product and/or travel and tourism products
