    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for patrolling NOC Wesser property, including staff housing, with priority to guest and employee safety and protection of NOC buildings and assets
    • Responsible for initiating contact with emergency personnel, in the event of medical emergency, fire, or law enforcement situation as needed
    • Serve as guest contact for resolution of problems that may arise, and provide excellent customer service to guests in the process
    • Responsible for checking all buildings, including restaurants, retail, and offices, after closing hours to make sure they are locked and secured, and that they are occupied only by authorized personnel
    • Enforce lodging policies with NOC guests, including quiet hours, alcohol possession and consumption, and firearm possession
    • Courteously remove from premises campers in designated no-camping areas, suggesting alternative locations as available
    • Report to and coordinate with Facilities Head for any emergency building maintenance problems
    • Report all incidents, emergency and non-emergency, in Night Attendant’s Log
    • Assist pub manager with checking IDs and/or providing hourly check-in, as needed

    Qualifications

     

    • Understand and be able to provide excellent guest service to all NOC guests
    • Ability to maintain a clean and neat appearance
    • Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license or ability to maintain, and a reliable personal vehicle
    • Must have a clean driving record
    • Must pass criminal background check

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Prior experience as an employee of Nantahala Outdoor Center preferred but not required
    • Prior experience as Security or Night Attendant preferred but not required
