    Job Summary

     

    Come join NOC in an exciting key role as the Manager of Recruiting and Leadership Development! This very dynamic position and comes with a high level of responsibility and accountability to the success of the entire organization. It has the freedom to make key decisions and has a strong voice across the organization with the ability to impact positive organizational and cultural change.This role is responsible for overseeing all recruiting efforts, managing the candidate experience, supporting all HR operations/functions and handles most aspects of NOC Wesser Campus staff housing. The ideal applicant will have a passion for the outdoors, are excited about impacting and growing the NOC team, have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. 

     

    This position reports to the HR Manager and works closely with the management teams and Directors. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. In general, this is a 40 hour/week position however, during peak recruiting season (Feb - May), overtime may be necessary to complete all functions of this position.

    Responsibilities

    Recruiting & Hiring

    • Interview, hire and onboard all NOC River Guides
    • Develop staffing plans in coordination with hiring managers
    • Assist and train hiring managers on all aspects of the hiring process
    • Help to coordinate and oversee all processes associated with interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees
    • Manage NOC's international hiring program through selected company
    • Work with HR Manager to plan and conduct beginning of season orientations and other year round orientations for key staff to ensure each are onboarded properly
    • Develop and maintain working relationships with universities and colleges
    • Set expectations for timely and effective communication with all applicants and hold hiring managers to standards consistent with expectations
    • Coordinate and manage NOC's Guide School, conduct interview with potential candidates and collect Instructor feedback on each to determine company fit, skills and abilities
    • Help to ensure compliance with onboarding paperwork(i.e. Form I9, work permits)
    • Assist HR Manager with other aspects of the hiring and onboarding processes

    Administrative

    • Serve as Account Administrator for NOC's talent acquisition software (iCIMS)
    • Ensure brand standard consistency across all applicable recruiting platforms
    • Gather content and publish a seasonal bi-weekly NOC newsletter
    • Coordinate and help plan staff events 
    • Provide feedback to hiring managers in regards to job descriptions, revise as necessary to create consistency
    • Post open positions in all appropriate and relevant channels that are utilized by NOC Recruiting
    • Work in conjunction with Marketing to create recruiting materials (ie. flyers, hand-outs, rack cards and recruiting swag)
    • Help create a fun working environment by planning, scheduling and determining fun outings and events for NOC staff
    • Support HR Manager in any necessary disciplinary action or investigations
    • Manage and respond to all email communication that comes in through work@noc.com

    Staff Housing

    • Oversee and manage all housing processes including, but not limited to, housing assignments, clean-ups and inspections
    • Coordinate with Repair and Maintenance team to ensure any housing maintenance issues are reported and resolved in a timely manner
    • Hire and manage housing Mayors
    • Work with Mayors to ensure staff are following housing rules, guidelines and expectations

    Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED

    • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
    • Experience with MS Office programs

    PREFERRED

    • Four year college degree
    • Previous recruiting, administrative or HR experience
    • Prior experience working at NOC or a deep familiarity with NOC culture
    • Previous experience with iCIMS or similar talent acquisition software
    • Previous experience with ADP or similar time and attendance software

    Physical Requirements and Environment

    • Must be able to lift 30lbs
    • Must be comfortable sitting for long periods of time
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and climb ladders
    • Must be comfortable working in an indoor office environment
    • Must be willing and able to participate in the Guide School program as necessary to the hiring process
    • Must be adaptive and reactive to changes in technology and use of new programs
