    Job Summary:

     

    NOC is seeking a qualified, self starting and motivated technician to join our Raft Repair team. This position is full time (30 – 40 hours/week depending on work load). Nantahala Raft Repair works on a variety of inflatable rafts and boats. This position will repair fleets of rafts for the Nantahala Outdoor Center and other rafting companies in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and other states east of the Mississippi River.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Willing to follow instructions and work collaboratively with others
    • Willing to learn a 'trade' and become proficient with hand tools and repair methods
    • Use various hand tools to perform daily tasks
    • Move inflatables in the shop
    • Work with chemicals using proper safety equipment
    • Work in well ventilated heated and air-conditioned shop

    Qualifications

     

    • Ability to lift 75 pounds
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Previous use of hand tools, including air drills, side grinders and a clicker press preferred
    • Experience working in a shop environment
    • We will train as necessary
