    Retail Associates for the NOC at the Grove Park Inn location work in a boutique enviroment selling top outdoor brands and also help guests book rafting adventures with NOC. 


    Retail Associates for the Nantahala Outdoor Center's retail location at the Omni Grove Park Inn are based in Asheville, North Carolina.  Primary functions of a Retail Associate include:


    • Guest service and sales in a retail boutique environment
      • Great and engage all store guests
      • Provide informed knowledge of outdoor clothing, footwear, and gear
      • Inform and book guests of the full range of outdoor experiences NOC offers
      • Commitment to fulfilling guest needs and questions


    • Store Operations
      • Independently open and close store
      • Familiarity with point of sale and reservation software
      • Monitor sales floor inventory levels and restock appropriately
      • Maintain clean and organized sales floor and backstock areas



    • Must have strong guest service skills
    • Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays
    • Detail oriented and organized with excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
    • Self-motivated
    • Good ‘people’ skills for a wide spectrum of personalities
    • Ability to function as a team player, take direction and/or function independently on assigned projects
    • Familiarity with the NOC culture, values and mission
    • Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, able to safely lift objects up to 50lbs
