    Job Summary: 

     

    Nantahala Outdoor Center Front Desk Reservationists work primarily in the Adventure Center, located along the banks of the beautiful Nantahala River. In this role, as a Deck Reservationist you will be greeting guests as they arrive for their adventure, taking day-of reservations, checking guests in, accepting payment, and answering questions on the area and all NOC adventure activities.  Ideal dates of employment would be from mid-May until mid-August.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide information and answer questions regarding NOC activities, lodging, retail and restaurant hours and any other guest inquiries
    • Create and modify guest reservations for rafting or other adventure trips and/or lodging
    • Maintain a high level of guest service and quality control
    • Accept and process payments; running a cash register in accordance with NOC policies
    • Assist with stocking and rotating products that are for sale on the Adventure Deck
    • Other Adventure Center tasks, as qualified and as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism with superb communication skills
    • Proven written and verbal communication skills
    • Decision-making and troubleshooting ability
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills
    • Organized and able to multitask while remaining calm in a dynamic and fast paced environment
    • Must be able to stand for long period of time
    • Must speak clearly and concisely 

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
