    • Act as manager in manager's absence
    • Supervise up to 30 employees
    • Perform manager responsibilities, including opening and closing procedures as needed daily
    • Assist in maintaining all alcohol inventory systems, office supply ordering systems, and food inventory control
    • Drive restaurant success and profitability by meeting sales and service goals set by Operations Manager
    • Implement daily floor flow charts and daily specials on beer/wine and food
    • Assist in monitoring controllable restaurant expenses to maximize profitability and efficiency
    • Maintain positive and open relationships with all other business outlets at the NOC
    • Ensure that company communication is relayed in a timely manner


    • Assist Operations Manager with active payroll management and scheduling
    • Assist with planning of unique events and holidays
    • Attend staff and team meetings with other shift managers and management as needed

    Staff Training and Development

    • Ensure that all NOC policies and campus procedures are known and followed
    • Ensure an environment where guest service is the most important value in NOC foodservice
    • Promote and monitor quality guest service through training and leading by example
    • Resolve employee issues through leadership and consistent development techniques
    • Inspire an enjoyable and productive work environment through active leadership
    • Assist Operations Manager in evaluating employee performance, scheduling and assisting with seasonal and annual reviews
    • Assist in training of new employees


    • Customer service-first attitude a must
    • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
    • Able to safely lift objects up to 55 pounds
    • Comfortable carrying trays of food or full bus-tubs
    • Able to work a typical restaurant schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
    • Able to function as a team player
    • Able to self-manage, as well as take direction when needed
    • Effective communication skills, problem-solving ability, and ability to work effectively under pressure a must
    • 1-2 years management preferred, or an extensive and successful serving career
    • Familiarity with the NOC culture, values, and mission preferred
